Ars Creandum or Art-of-Self

Ars Creandum (from the latin: the art of the création) or Art-of-Self is an innovative programme which stimulates artistic expression and self-development; created after many years of research and experience by the Colombian artist Gloria Avila, to relate the experience of consciousness to expression within the visual art.

The programme was conceived to question and transform the conscious experience by simple attentive observation, without judgement, of the body and mind experience "here and now" (mindfulness) and to transpose this into of creative research, trascending into self-knowledge and artistic freedom.

Its methodical structure ensures an evolution wich is both fun, progressive and thoughful allowing in the firs instance, the adquisitio of the technical abilities akin to expression, secondly, a real experience of being in the world whilst developing an artistic language that is as real, as it is rich, as it is sensitive and deeply personal.
